# Import

When using Cubox for the first time, you can import the browser bookmarks or the data of other read-it-later apps to your Cubox account through the Netscape HTML format.

Go to Settings (opens new window) > Import & Export > Select File > Start Importing

start_import

The data sources currently supported for import are Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Pinboard, Pocket, and Instapaper. You can also try to import bookmark formats that are not supported above, but if the format is special, you may encounter some import failures.

⚠️ The basic account is limited to 200 storage capacity, so some content may not be imported. If you have imported duplicate files twice before and after upgrading your membership, you can use "Duplicated Links Detection (opens new window)" in the settings.

Now you start importing. It will take a few minutes, maximum of 10 minutes to parse the content in the cloud, and you can do others during the process. After the import is completed, it may take a long time in the background to perform work such as article parsing (opens new window), content snapshot (opens new window) archiving, and cover image capture.

If it is listed in the sources supported by Cubox, but cannot be imported successfully, please contact hi@cubox.cc
