# Article Parsing

The articles will be parsed into easy-to-read styles, eliminating distracting information such as ads on the original web page, and focusing on reading with effective content.

# Text Recognition

The collection of pictures, voices, and other types is automatically recognized as text, which is convenient for reading, annotating, and searching.

  • Image to text: Recognize text content in images (OCR).
  • Intelligent image recognition: Recognize patterns, objects, and other content in pictures as text.
  • Speech-to-text: recognize conversations in speech as text.
  • Video to text: Recognize the dialogue of the voice in the video as text.

# Blacklist and Whitelist

If you are not satisfied with the web parsing, you can try adding the URL to the blacklist or whitelist.

  • Method 1: Modify article parsing settings in the reader menu.
  • Method 2: Apps More / Web settings (opens new window) > Article Parse Rules > add rules.

  • Blacklist: Content that follows the rules will not be processed into articles, and the original webpage will be displayed directly.

  • Whitelist: Content that matches the rules will be parsed as an article view.

  • Host URL: All address under this URL (including this URL) will be subject to the rules.

  • Full URL: Address must match exactly to apply the rule.

📍 When the blacklist and whitelist settings conflict, the whitelist will take priority to parse the article.

📝 After adding a collection to the blacklist, the added annotations in the article will not be visible, and can be restored after removing from the blacklist.

⚠️ Cubox cannot ensure that the content in the whitelist can be 100% parsed successfully for website differences.

# Manually Refresh Article Parsing

If you are not satisfied with the article parsing effect or want to update the article content, you can go to the reader menu > Re-Parse Article to get more accurate parsing results.

⚠️ If you choose to refresh article parsing, the original annotations will be cleared. It is recommended to back up the annotations before refreshing.
